Have You Grieved The Holy Spirit with Your Words Today? You may be surprised at the answer

Have you grieved the Holy Spirit with your words today? You may be surprised at the answer.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the edifying, that it may edify unto the hearers..

30)AND grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption

31)Let all bitterness, and wrath and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice:

32) And be Ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake forgave you.

We are to speak only those things that build one another up. 2 Timothy 2 Tells a lot about the mouth. V 14 is one of those verses: (amp) Remind {the people} of these facts and {solemnly} charge them in the presence of the Lord to avoid petty controversy over words, which does no good but upsets and undermines the faith of the hearers. then in verse 23 is one of my favorites: But refuse, (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questions, for you know they foster strife and breed quarrels.

24) And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). instead, he must be kindly to everyone and mild tempered {preserving the bond of peace}; he must be a skilled and suitable teacher, patient and forbearing and willing to suffer wrong..(wow, that’s a big one)!!

25) must correct his opponents with courtesy and gentleness, in the hope that God may grant that they will repent and come to know the truth { that they will perceive and recognize and become accurately acquainted with and acknowledge it}.

26) And that they may come to their senses (and) escape out of the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him. {henceforth ) to do His (God’s) will.

I did a word study, I won’t go into all that. Basically what it has to say is..if you don’t have anything good to say about someone, don’t say it..It only tears down and doesn’t build up, and what’s more..it grieves the Holy Spirit of God.

The Bible says we should meditate on the Word of God..What we put in our heart comes out of our mouths, not just in our lives, but about others as well.

The Bible says a lot about how serious it is to grieve the Holy Spirit, and it admonishes us not to do that, so really, how serious are our words and attitudes?

Clamor, by the way, when I looked it up in dictionary meant complaining as one of the definitions. That one really hit home with me. There’s really no need in pointing the finger at the Isrealite’s for wondering in the desert for 40 years, for what should have been an 11 day trip, I am as guilty as they are. Hopefully, I learn when the Holy Spirit shows me something, and I leave Egypt, with the understanding that a gracious and loving God had mercy on me, showed me the truth, and expects me to grow in that knowledge and revelation and walk in it.

Fire!!!

Ps 91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust.

Isaiah 43:2b When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

A fireman once told the story of walking through the forest after a great fire..there were branches still smoldering around and charred trees everywhere…up against one tree was the charred remains of a chicken..as they kicked the remains to one side, some little chicks ran from under the charred remains of the mothers wings….He covers you with His feathers and under His wings shalt thou trust!

Prayer warriers and friends please reaTd!!

I have an urgent need..I am praying about this, as I really don’t know how else to pray.

This is about myself and some other people who are struggling.

None of us has the money to live on our own paying rent and utilities and still buy food, only one of us is eligible for food stamps. What we would like to have happen is someone donate an apt. complex, or large house. Cumulatively we could pool our money for the utilities etc..as well as taxes. We have all been living with other people from place to place and one of the people is about to be put in a place of possible molestation soon. One of these people is Vet with cancer and COPD. I leave myself at the end of this list.

We have tried to find a place to all live together, but landlords have denied us for a multitude of reasons..Pets, too many people in one place etc.

We are not asking just for us, but also for those who are homeless, for people like us, and people in need.  I know this is a tall order, but not to tall for God. We all need to stay in this area for Doctor’s & because we have children we have to visit and stay in contact with, and we have to be close to those who are able to get us to our doctor’s appointments. (some do not have cars and no transportation available)

I never ask for help unless I need it! Now I am asking for your prayers.. We have resources for free food and clothes…We need a place to live..please pray for us…Thank You so much!!

P/S This was a very hard letter to write

Thank You God and Thank you Jonathan

I read a post today that changed my thinking all together. I had been praying for a long time about someone I was trying very hard to make happy. I had done everything I could do to try and make her life better, but it was a useless circle. It had come to the point that my own health was failing.

It was true..I had come out of a bad place and was trying to change my life..but after my life had changed, I began trying with all my heart to do everything in my power to make her happy. It was to no end.

After I read Jonathan’s post..The Lord showed me that I cannot make someone else happy..That is not my job..The job is between her and God. If she is not happy inside herself, nothing I am going to do is going to change that.

Change starts on the inside, when we surrender “all” to God, and realize we have no power in us to just do it alone, we need His help. My life didn’t change until  I turned back to God and began the process.

She already knows God..So I pray that God speaks to her heart and shows her that she is not only hurting herself in this mode, but taking others down with her. God can use that strong will of her’s somewhere good in His kingdom.

So I stop for now and give thanks to God, for opening my eyes, and hopefully opening hers as well.

Someone always has to ruin it

It seems like we get good things..Like Twitter and Facebook..You know, ways of communication and networking, that helps us in many great way.. but then you get people who are rude. They add themselves without asking (as they should), and just assume you’re OK with that…Well..I’m not!! I don’t like it! I don’t suppose it matters, but if it matters to me, it matters to others as well.

I am sure there are business ppl out there who don’t want porn on their business site any more than I want it on my Christian site. Surely there is something that can be done.
